# Agent Instructions This documentation is published with GitBook. The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation. --- # Getting Started First, create an account on **Degen Arena** by visiting .
Click the `Start` button and a secure wallet is automatically created for you with Turnkey. Click the wallet address to automatically copy it to your clipboard.
Fund the wallet by sending USDT to the Injective address provided by the bot. To get USDT on Injective, visit [bridge.injective.network](https://bridge.injective.network), where you can easily bridge USDT in from Ethereum. For ease of onboarding, you can even change the recipient address to your new Degen Arena address. Once USDT arrives in your wallet, the bot will give you a notification, and you're ready to begin trading. Don't worry, you don't need INJ. Gas is on us. You can immediately begin trading, but of course Degen Arena is more fun with friends.
You can view a list of available markets at any time by messaging the bot with `/markets`. You can scroll from page to page by clicking the buttons beneath the list.
# Joining or Creating a Clan If you're in a Telegram group that has already enabled Degen Arena in one of the ways described below, you can simply join that group's clan with the `/join` command.
You can also manage your clans by sending `/clans` to the bot, where you can create a new clan, switch between clans, or leave your current clan.
If Degen Arena has not yet been added to a group, you can add the bot to a group in one of three different ways.
First, go to the bot, click the three dots in the upper right corner, and click `Add to Group`. Choose the desired group, and you're good to go. Another way is by messaging @degenarenabot directly with the `/clan` command as described above, clicking `Create a new Clan`, choosing a Telegram group that you're part of, and adding the bot to the group. The last way is by going to a group, and typing the command `/start@degenarenabot`.
And that's it. Now, you'll see what all your fellow group members are up to, and vice-versa. Try not to get rekt. # Opening a Position Once you've funded your account with USDT, you can immediately open a long or short position by messaging @degenarenabot. Let's demonstrate how to open a 25x INJ long position, with 50 USDT margin. The quick way: message @degenarenabot `/long INJ 25x 50` and click Confirm.
If you want to see all the options available to you, take the scenic route. First, message `/long` to the bot.
Reply with the ticker. For convenience, you can reply `INJ` instead of `INJ/USDT PERP` and the bot will know what you're referring to. As Degen Arena currently only supports perpetual futures, it won't get confused.
Choose your margin by entering an amount or clicking one of the available options from the prompt. In this case, we'll choose 25x.
You'll then be prompted for the amount of margin you'd like to use. Let's use 50 USDT. Don't worry about gas, we've got you covered.
Click "Confirm" and wait for the position to be opened.
Just as quickly as the position is opened, you'll receive a graphic like this from the bot, and if you're part of a group it will also be sent to that group. Because trading is more fun when your friends hold you accountable. # Modifying and Closing Positions Once you've opened a position, you can view it at any time by messaging the bot `/positions`.
There, you can click on a specific trading pair, and modify your position.
You will see your current unrealized PNL, along with options to increase position size, close position (either partially or in whole), increase margin, or create new orders such as take profit or stop loss orders. Let's increase our position size. Click `Increase Position`.
Now, choose leverage. Let's stick with 25x, because why not.
Enter the margin you wish to use to increase your position size, in this case another 25 USDT.
Double check your trade details, and click `Confirm`.
The add-on position has been opened. Now let's say I want to close. Type `/positions`, and click on the desired pair. Then click `Close Position`.
In this case, I'll choose to close 100% of my position.
I'll click `Confirm`, and see a transaction success, with a sharing card including my realized PNL sent to me and my clan.
# Advanced Orders Let's say you want to add a take profit or stop loss order to an existing position. First, view your positions with `/positions` and then click on `Orders`.
If you have no open orders, you'll see a blank page like this. To add a stop loss, click the `Add +` button to the right of `INJ/USDT STOP LOSS`.
You'll then see a summary of your open position, with some pre-filled percentages. Of course, you can type a more precise percentage in the text box instead of clicking one of the boxes. In this case, let's choose 100%, enter a trigger price of 11.60, and click confirm.
Once the order has been placed, you'll see an updated list of open orders reflecting the new one.
# Commands You can view the available commands any time by messaging @degenarenabot the `/help` command. Here is an exhaustive list of commands and what they do: * `/positions` - View your current positions * `/balance` - View your balances and wallet address * `/long` - Open a long position * `/short` - Open a short position * `/close` - Close a position * `/orders` - View your current orders * `/take_profit` - Add a take profit for a position * `/stop_loss` - Add a stop loss for a position * `/margin` - Change position's margin * `/chart [asset]` - Show asset price chart (enter the asset name after the command, before sending) * `/clans` - Manage your clan memberships * `/settings` - Change your account settings * `/send [address] [amount] [denom]` - Send funds to another wallet (enter the address, amount, and denom after the command, before sending) * `/markets` - View list of available perp markets * `/pnl` - View your PNL for the current week * `/top_members` - View the performance of fellow clan members * `/top_players` - View the performance of all Degen Arena traders * `/top_clans` - View the weelkly performance of all competing clans # FAQs **Are my funds secure?** Absolutely. Private keys are stored and encrypted via Turnkey, the industry standard for security, which is also used for the Helix Mobile app. Only you have access to your private key as it is stored with Turnkey’s verifiably secure enclaves, and encrypted with your Telegram user ID. **How do I withdraw funds?** Message @degenarenabot with the `settings` command, click "Export private key" and follow the commands. Do not under any circumstances share your private key with anyone, including anyone who purports to be from the Injective team. Nobody from Degen Arena, Injective, or Helix will ever ask for your private key. Ever. **What fees do I pay on Degen Arena?** There are no fees for sending or receiving funds, and there are no gas fees for transactions on Degen Arena. The trading fees mirror those on Helix, so 0.05% for taker trades, and -0.005% for maker trades, though the vast majority of trades on Degen Arena are taker trades. **Who can I contact for help?** You can tweet or message @DerekGenson on Telegram.
